Machine Design Engineer 1-4 Years, 4-8 LPA, Bangalore

You would be working with a team of software developers, embedded systems developers, machine design engineers and electrical engineers. Teamwork is a very important facet, and any successful candidate would need to demonstrate high capability in being an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, working towards complex milestones in a challenging environment.

The role will involve the assembly of different parts (mechanical, electrical, vision, software) of machine vision systems, primarily focused on pharmaceutical and food/cosmetics manufacturing lines across the world. Over time, successful candidates will become familiar with cutting edge technologies in the machine vision world, building cutting edge machines that combine mechanical design, cameras and optics to improve quality control. The role also involves extensive travel, initially within India but increasingly in Europe, South East Asia and the Americas.

On an immediate basis, a successful candidate would expect to work on the following technologies in the first year of employment:

1. Become an integral part of Spookfish’s product design team, to evolve Spookfish’s machine design based on new requirements and observations.

2. Optionally, interact with customers to understand their requirements and constraints to integrate Spookfish’s machines on their lines.
3. Interaction with multi-faceted teams and customers towards optimal delivery of machines.

1. Please note that applicants without hands-on design skills will not be considered.
2. Diploma/Bachelors/Masters/Doctoral degree in engineering.
3. Proven track record in engineering design.
4. Demonstrable use of either Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Catia or Solidworks.
5. Prior project experience in designing components for machines.
6. Industrial Experience of 1-4 years.

• Experience in the conceptualisation, design and development of machines that fit into manufacturing lines.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industries.
• Experience in design or maintenance of packaging machinery.

TRAVEL

Occasional travel (30 days per year on average) can be expected to customer sites around the world, and to our offices in the UK, Netherlands and USA.
